Can anyone help to point me in the right direction to find more information (prices, dates, location) for having a wedding in a czech republic castle. I don't think I need the wedding package, but perhaps that is the only way to go. Thanks in advance. |

Where are you from? and when is your wedding?

Hi,
We're thinking of getting married in a castle in CZ next year. What did you decide to do in the end: to organise it yourself or to get someone to do this for you? Do you have any tips to pass on?
Regards

Hi there:
This is rather difficult to answer your question as it is so wage. There are at least 20 beautiful castles in the Czech Republic where you can have a wedding. The prices vary based on your requirements and services included in the wedding ceremony. Besides you pay fees to a local authority. Then you need to count with a cost for an interpreter. The best way is to focus on a region of your interest (Prague, Bohemia or Moravia), whether you need something very special or unusual (historical costumes, special amusing program etc.), how many guests you will have ....... I can currently recommend the castles Litomysl and Nove Hrady in Eastern Bohemia that are known to me. See details on www. .SmetanaOperaFestival. .com (select section About Litomysl/Trips Around or view the Photogallery)
Should you need some further help, pls let me know.
Best regards, Ruzena |

Hi Mark
If you are interested in getting married in a castle in the Czech republic and don't necessarily want to get a "package" deal, you can visit this website www. .kinskycastles. .info and look at two castles that my family has and offers for weddings. One is baroque and one is a medieval fortress. They are both 45 minutes from Prague and you can get in contact with a lady who speaks English and will help you organize things. Otherwise you can write "castles-weddings-czech-republic" in the query line and see what comes up. I am disheartened because I realize how difficult it is to find information about castles, and I am on the other side--i'm trying to promote these places!! Good luck, it's a beautiful country!
