We are currently in the closing stages of finalising charitable trust status and are negotiating the acquisition of the near derelict 1860 built Balintore Castle located deep in the beautiful Angus Glens and are interested in hearing from anyone who is willing and able to help whether by offering free professional services such as an architect, structural engineer or solicitor or from those who would be willing to give up their time to be a labourer, fundraiser etc.

More details (history, photos etc etc) are available (or VERY soon will be) from our website which can be found at www. .balintorecastle. .co. .uk

Meanwhile thanks for taking the time to read this.

Jerry Cody -
My friend and I are interested in volunteering some time toward castle renovation. Can you provide any more information about the work on the Balintore Castle located in Angus Glens?

Please respond to me at tsteele90@hotmail. .com

Thanks,
Trisha

I also am looking to fulfill a lifelong dream of restoring a castle/project
in exchange for room/board.
I have on-hand experience in several home remodeling projects with
everything from framing, electrical, plumbing, drafting, welding, etc.
I have also been involved in renaissance faire projects such as making
armor, chainmail, weapons, archery, etc.

Please reply if interested

I fell in love with this captivating castle about 10 years ago when I stumbled across it one foggy, wintry day. I have driven past it on many occasions and once crept up the drive to take a sneaky peak at the building, close up. It really is in a terrible state of repair - just a shell -which is tragic as it is so beautiful and set in such a stunning location. I have researched some of its history and would be interested to know if there is any way in which I could help/participate in the restoration of the building if that is still the plan?

Best wishes, Andrea Shieber

my partner and i would love to be involved in helping restore this beautiful castle to it's former glory, so we would be willing to give up some time to this project.

I would really be interested in helping in the restoration of Balintore Castle even to be just an assistant (if I can save enough money to get there). I personally feel that this castle along with others should be saved to show how magnificent they really are. And if I cant be there I wish the best to the restorers.
