| Iam looking for the locaton of the family castle located in either Germany or Austria that was there in approximately 1607. The spelling of the original last name was yowaraski (german)? now it is spelled yow, yowe. My grandfather. .s name was Christopher Yow and he came to the USA in the early 1600's on a ship called the" Molly" with ten sons to locate in the caralinas. My father actually has a copy of the ships roster. Hans Yow 's name is on it and yes they settled in North Carolina. My Dad is not here with me at this time, but I am almost sure that he had a son Christopher and so do I.
From what I know it is a Dutch German name. |
