If Goblet of Fire was shortened, how much more the Order of the Phoenix as well as the Half Blood Prince?(although HBP has just been released).
If Lord of the Rings and Titanic made it for over 3 hours, then Warner Brothers could too.! Tut tut tut... What's happening to the world. Why can't the directors of Harry Potter read the book so that they could differentaite the work of their screenwriter from the book or could they just confront J. K. Rowling...

What some of you must realize is that the Sorceror's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets, though they have left out many scenes, are nearly equally as enlightening to the storyline as the book themselves. Unfortunately, the same does not go for the third movie. Even if you forgave them for filming the movie in a new location, there is much to complain about. Why is this? As I'm sure many of you know, Chris Columbus decided to stop the Harry Potter movies after the Chamber of Secrets to spend time with his family. Of course, I respect him for that, but look how much the new director has butchered the Prisoner of Azkaban! Fortunately, there is a new director for the Goblet of Fire, but after watching the trailer I fear it may - though I still trust that is may be quite good - meet the same, horrible end.

Basically, I think the movie could be compressed into two hours quite effectively. If the director is half as good as Chris Columbus, the movie will turn out very good, I'm sure.

What is also possible is to have an "extended version" like LOTR.

OH MY GOD! What have they done to the book? The movie is only 2 1/2 hours? Oh this is ridiculous! So they must mean that Chamber of Secrets is longer than Goblet of Fire? Damn it!

Yes... Goblet of Fire IS shorter than Sorcerer's Stone. Do you think, every important scenes were shot in GoF? Why didn't the director read the book first before agreeing to the screenwriter about the movie script?
Harry Potter fans WORLD WIDE will protest if that's the case, really... There will be no justice on the movie. Imagine, the movie "Chamber of Secrets" is longer than "Goblet of Fire" when the novel GoF is longer than CoS! If the movie spend $308 million, then why are the series of "Lord of the Rings" longer than the Harry Potter Series? Or maybe the screenwrite is just too lazy? The Dursleys' role musn't have cut! Mad I'd say, there are scenes that were shot but cannot be found on the book but there are scenes that haven't included!

Too many scenes has been cut! Even the roles of some important characters were cut too! As we all know the Dursleys' roles were cut due to the length of time but can u imagine that even the role of MRS. WEASLEY was cut too?! As well as the role of Bill, Charlie, Bagman, Winky, and Dobby. Neville gave the gillyweed in the movie instead of Dobby. And the movie is only 157 minutes. The entire House-elf Liberation Front scene was cut, the Harry-Hermione kiss. How are they suppose to show this to the million viewers?

As we know, Harry woke up in the Dursleys in the middle of the night with a throbbing pain on his scar, but in the movie he woke up in the Weasleys yet Mrs. Weasley hasn't appeared. Who woke him, then?
