I realize that the 2. .5 hours alocated to the movie will take away a lot from the storyline and not be nearly as entertaining. However, before we start writing and complaining to Warner Bros. and everyone else involved, it needs to be determined if the stars of the film want to work on a film that has the potential to run for 3. .5 to 4 hours or more. I personally would love to see the film capture most of the book's storyline, however there's more than to it than just my entertainment. |

As stated before if the fourth Harry Potter movie is less than three hours long the majority of the already book fans will be extremely disquested with Warner Bros. Another thing that I noticed when I went to see The Prisonor of Azkaban was the Harry recieved his Firebolt at the very end of the movie. What were they thinking when they did that because Harry recieved it from Serious at Chrismas. The production of these movies can can spand a little longer making sure to suply the movies with key things. Lasty The Order Of The Pheniox movie will have to be at least three and a half hours due to all the important storyline things that occur. If this is not accomplished than Warner has ruined what possibly will be their biggest money making movie series in the history of the company and will lose the interest of many fans of the books (which is at least three fourth of the people who see the movies). |

Make it a 2. .5 hour movie and you'll be cutting out important stuff. I know. i've read the book. |

yes i agree. I went 2 see the harry potter and the prizoner of azkaban be4 i read the books and then i went and read books 1-5 and went 2 see harry potter and the prizoner of azkaban again. i was completly astounded that they cut so much stuff out. they did the same in the socerers stone and chamber of secrets. but i dont care if the movies take all day long to wach. but 4 all i care i want 2 see the movie with every little detail in there. For the goblet of fire they have 2 have dragons and merpeople and everything! so they need 2 be longer than 2. .5 hours. thats all i wanted 2 say.
love,

I really enjoys the 3rd Harry Potter movie, but was pretty disapionted at all the scenes missed frrom the movie to the book. I would have to guess that there are many who feel the same way and would love for Warner Brothers to try and keep the scenes above in the upcoming movie.
It is always annoying to read a book, especially a book you love and watch the movie, which has many important things cut from it. I know many feel the same way in these movies.
LOTR did really well not to miss much its story, I think for a book that sells as well or better than it, The Harry potter Movies should try keep up to its level |

I agree. I was shocked when I realised that after only two and a half hours of movie, The Prisoner of Azkaban was already over! And that when The Philosofors' Stone and The Chamber of Secrets were 3 hours (at least I think they were) while those books are a lot thinner than book 3. I already feared for book 4 and 5, and now it seems I was right. I wouldn't mind to sit 3 1/2 to 4 hours in a cinema, not if it's for Potter, nor would I mind coming twice if they decide to cut it in two. Anything if they'll just not cut out all the fun parts, all the important parts for the storyline.
I'm probably gonna get PoA today on DVD, and I just hope it has tons of deleted scenes I can watch, which make up for the lack thereof in the movie itself. |

I think Harry Potter fans WORLDWIDE will protest if Goblet of Fire will be shorten! "WE" waited for so long (as in a year) for the Goblet of Fire to release then we will witness a failure one? We can sit for five hours or so if it was really that long. Potter fans can wait for the sake of Goblet of Fire. We bought the book and have read it (word by word). So pls shot every important scenes... I think some of the Potter fans were disappointed like me because Steves Kloves summarized the book very short. The Owl Post wasn't shown. Also the scene in the Diagon Alley where Harry visited the Firebolt very often, the Potion Lupin must drink, the problem where Harry's firebolt was confiscated by McGonagall and many more... So sad but in fairness to them, they did the special effects very well. |

i warner bros should leave the movie around two to three hours. except this time they should put more of the important scenes such as all of the challenges and the way he figures out how to do them. it would ruin the movie and piss the fans off if the movie was split [/b] |

I've heard AND have read personally the article saying that GoF will 2 1/2 short. Is this true or this is just a rumor? In this case, I will agree to one of the username who submitted a quote that the whole world will protest, really. I felt so sad with the Dursleys because their role was cut... It's so ridiculous! And I'm glad that Steve Kloves will be replaced by Michael Goldenberg as a sreenplayer for the Order of the Phoenix. And as to Mr. Goldenberg, pls get those important scene in OOTP.[/quote] |

I really agree with u people!..
they should make a try not to cut too many important scenes from the GoF.
i have no problem to sit and watch the movie even if it is 4 hours long....
why don't they understand this?
And yeah, the way Harry receives his new broomstick in the 3rd movie is really redicullous-very Disneyland...- |
