A friend from Eastern USA, wrote:
This Castle was owned by quite a few families.  First it was bought by Zapolsky family and owned from 1465 to 1531.  Then the Thurzo family owned it unitl 1638.  Last the Csaky family owned it until it was destroyed by a fire in 1780.  The castle remained uninhabited ever since and has not been rebuilt yet.
