did a study on the Castles built and developed by Lord William Hastings
and Kirby Muxloe was the first red brick castle in England at the time.
Also the first castle designed to house new artillery, a barreled gun,
and even though it was not finished it is a remarkable construction. |

walls and a tower. a pleasant place for picnics and fishing in the moat owned by English heritage. |
