I'm looking for floor plans of my ancestral home, Eilean Donan Castle, in Kintail, Rosshire, Scotland. Anyone know where I can find these?

Coolhouseplans. .com
This website has a wonderful 22,229 sq ft castle floor plan with two wings, 12 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms and other authentic amneties such as a library, banquet hall, however it is in the traditional form of architecture and has been updated to the present comforts, but it still looks cool. |

Try www. .historychannel. .com and do searches for it there. Also, another good source of information about castles, design and specialty buildings can be done through me.
I have extensive background in castle drawings. Right down to the moat and upper structural supports. Now, most wont be typical of medieval style, but, finding such blueprints online and for free are quite rare.
Good luck, god speed

Has anybody here ever heard of the sims? It is a game, but you can also build, design and decorate homes. I am trying to build a castle home, but I have no idea how to start! Does anybody know of any castle floor plans, so I can incorperate it into the game? |

The best site for castle plans has been mentioned previously.
Go to Castlemagic. .com and take a look at some of their castles.
I am considering building a 12000 sqft castle utilizing the materials on the land and Castlemagic. .com 's approach to current insulation and building requirements while maintaining the old look is very in depth.
You may e-mail them and learn from them as well.

For those of you looking for castle blueprints from Scotland, try here... http://www. .caithness. .org/caithness/castles/
They have info on the following castles:
Achastle Ackergill Berriedale Bishops Palace Brabster Braal Brims Brough Bucholie Bught O'Camm Clyth Dirlot Dounreay Dunbeath Flendie Clett Forse Freswick or Lambaborg
Girnieclett Girnigoe Gunn Haimer Halberry Keiss Knockinnon Latheron Loch More Mestag Mey Old Wick Scrabster Swiney Thurso East Thurso (Ormlie) Sinclair
There are several floor plans under the link "Images" and then "Ground Plans" at the top of the page. Happy Hunting! |

Geez, you guys sure are rude around here! It's kind of funny that a search for 'historical castle blueprints' brought THIS forum's thread up as a first choice on google. Well, whatever.
Thanks anyway. |
