I had finished reading the Queen of France by Andre Storm 1957. .It was incredibly sad and heart broken of the circumstancial which I would never imagine. It's first time that I am actually enjoying the book and at the same time I was feeling sympathatic for Marie Antoinette's life. There was beyond my comprehension, during Marie's trial, there was nothing in the story mention about intervention from her brother nor the Austrian's goverment at all, it seems very odd. I do not understand at all.
why the Austrian's politician let the French execute it's citizen without trying to save the Queen and her kids? As far as her kids concern what happened to them after her death?Perhaps someone whom possibly known the actual the circumstance can discribe it better. I would love to know more about it. .Are there any suggestion for the same subject? which I like to read more of it.
Greatly appreciated. .soory for bad spelling

The Austrian government did try to intervene. Marie Antoinette's brother made a declaration that said that he would intervene if necissary to save the French Monarchy.

You also have to remember that there was only so much Austrians could do.

But, you're right, it is sad, why didn't the Austrian government intervene?
