Hi,

My name is Gosia and our Dutch family plans this summer (August 2003) to drive by car to Spain. The trip by car to Spain is rather tiring for our kids ( 8, 5 and 4 years old) in the car. (and for us too Smile

)
So we want to make a few stops in France and stay at 3 places in France. At each place we would like to stay about 2 days and then continue our trip.

As our children are very fond of castles: what would be a nice touristical route (with castles to visit) where you can stop 3 times and then after a week end up near Perpignan and cross the border with Spain. (preferably castles to visit) . We have seen Carcassonne two years ago already so we look for new castles.

We would like to drive and use one of these 2 routes:coming North from Lille to Paris, Orléans and then either:
a. Limoges, Souillac, Toulouse and further Narbonne and Spain . . or
b. Clermond Ferrand and via A-75 to Narbonne and Spain . . .

What are your experiences with both routes to visit and see catsles and what would be the best choice and logical stops on the way ?
