i was wondering abt how ppl provided clean water in a castle? i mean i know they digged out holes to make wells but how abt the ones that were built on rocky mountains? like neuschwanstein in Bavaria?
could anyone share opinions on this?
As I understand it, neuschwanstein is supplied by a spring. Also, it is a presurrised watering system, which was almost a revolutionary concept at the time...although I don't know why, considering the aqueduct system of Roman times. |
