| I am doing some research on this castle. It is thought to have been built by one of my ancestors. Can't seem to locate it exactly on any of the castle maps. Can someone help? |

| The castle at Vianden was built by one of my ancestors also. Could it be that we are related? I can tell you the history of it, if you would like to email. My Grandfather was born there and his mother lived there all her life. I know quite a bit of the history there - at least when my family was there and why it was built etc. Might you know some the history I don't? I would love to be in touch with you or anyone connected with the castle also who knows about it. A Duke had it after my family did. My Uncle went there to visit. It has such a special place in my heart as my relatives going way back are buried there. drauch@frontiernet. .net |
