I, TOO, AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THE CASTLE SHOWN IN THE MOVIE WAS AN ACTUAL FIVE STAR HOTEL AT THE BASE OF THE SWISS ALPS?
CAN'T FIND ANY INFO. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE CASTLE?[/i] |

According to www. .imdb. .com one of the filming locations was Hohenwerfen Castle near Salzburg in Austria.

Look at the 3 windows of the main tower and the color changes in the
tower's wall.
It's in Italy (South Tyrol) and not in France. And it's not a hotel. I'm quite
sure about that, since I lived pretty close to the place decades ago. |
